I really like this post. I think parents these days try to do too much. Everything will be just fine as long as everyone knows their role.
ReplyDeleteParents often get a pretty bad rap for over-parenting, and it makes me wonder if they are trying to make up for something that was lacking in their own relationships with their parents.
ReplyDeleteI can see both sides, but at the end of the day, how much work the child does to get better is all on them. I don't know enough about gymnastics so my comment is completely bias, but I think they are making a bigger deal out of this than it actually is.
